[PRESS RELEASE] DALLAS BASED NONPROFIT PROVIDES TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS TO BARACK OBAMA MALE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

DALLAS, TX… In September 2019, The Too Fly Foundation surprised the students at the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy with a travel-inspired prep rally and an exclusive passport scholarship pool for the school.

The Too Fly Foundation is a creative nonprofit with the mission of providing travel grants and passport scholarships to underserved students who wish to study or volunteer abroad. Since August 2016, the organization has provided over 150 scholarships to financially-in-need and unexposed students across the nation.

The nonprofit created a pep rally called “Too Fly Flight Academy”, which inspires students to study abroad, try new foods, learn new languages and be confident in their travel etiquette. At the pep rally, students shared where they wish to travel, tasted international snacks and listened to the testimonies of previous Too Fly travel grant recipients.

“My trip to Japan was very educational and will help me in future experiences,” said Ethan Lewis, who received a $500 travel grant scholarship from the foundation. “Understanding the culture, people and customs opened my eyes to how different America is to the rest of the world. Thank you to the Too Fly Foundation for making this experience possible.”

At the pep rally, the Too Fly Foundation announced they are opening an exclusive passport scholarship pool for the students at BOMLA. The organization hopes to fund three student passports at the academy.
