Broadening The Horizons of The Next Generation

thank you for flying with us

Celebrating the Legacy of the Too Fly Foundation

What started as a dream between friends turned into a movement that reached over 600 students across the globe. For nine incredible years, the Too Fly Foundation provided passports, travel grants, and unforgettable experiences, opening the world to young people who were ready to soar.

As we sunset the organization, we pause to reflect on the impact we’ve made together, not just in the 4+ Million miles traveled, but in minds expanded, confidence gained, and futures forever changed.

Before we officially close this chapter, our cofounders have a few words to share — from the heart, with gratitudE

a founders’ farewell

Reflections, gratitude, and lasting impact from the cofounders of Too Fly as we celebrate nine years of changing lives through travel.

When we started Too Fly, we had no idea that it would grow into what it is today. When we started this organization, we did not do it for honors or applause. We started this work because we had a genuine love for our community and a true mission to impact the next generation. I appreciate every single donor, partner, social media follower, friend, family member and everyone in between who trusted a bunch of young, black kids with their money (LOL) and cheered us on as we created our own legacy. I am thankful  for each Too Fly teammate, who in the midst of their own busy lives, paused every week to give their time and talent to this vision. And most importantly, I trust that the seeds that were planted in every scholar will blossom into hope and success for our future.

Thank you,
Bola Ibidapo

Dear Too Fly Family,

When we launched Too Fly, we didn’t have a playbook, just a passion for Travel and a belief that breaking barriers for children to be able to experience the world could change everything. We were a group of friends with big dreams and we knew that if we could just get passports and students hands, the rest would take care of itself. And it did.

Over the last nine years, I’ve watched this idea turn into a nation-wide movement — one fueled by love, creativeity, sacrifice, and community. I’ve watched students light up with their first passport in hand. I’ve heard stories of careers sparked, worldviews expanded, courage ignited, and a better understanding of self.

I’m beyond grateful for every volunteer, donor, event atendee, and partner who took a chance on us. For every late-night brainstorm, every fundraiser ticket bought, every repost, every dollar, thank you. Your belief made this real.

Too Fly gave us all the opportunity to do something bigger than ourselves. We didn’t just give out passports & travel kits — we gave out the audacity to dream. And while this chapter is closing, the impact will echo for generations.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for riding with us.

With gratitude and pride,
Brandon Miller

Dear Too Fly Crew,

Nine years ago, we had a vision to help students take flight by removing the barriers to transformative travel experiences. This vision became a mission and passion amongst friends, and later became the Too Fly Foundation.

As our wings, figuratively and literally, stretched, we blossomed into a movement that has impacted over 600 students across the nation. We’ve equipped young dreamers with passports, flights, luggage, travel tips and tricks, and, most importantly, confidence. We’ve shown students that the world is not only accessible to them but also better with their voices, cultures, and lived experiences.

Over the past nine years, we’ve seen how just one experience abroad can shift a student’s perspective, ignite their purpose, and expand what they believe is possible. Whether they traveled to Ghana, the UK, or Costa Rica, each Too Fly Scholar returned home with new tools, deepened empathy, and a global lens they’ll carry for life.

Our work even inspired me to take my first trip abroad! What better way to truly adhere to the work that we do every day?!

This work wouldn’t be possible without our donors, volunteers, partners, and extended Too Fly family. Your belief in our mission has been the wind beneath our wings. You’ve helped us not only reach students but build a platform where they are seen, supported, and celebrated. You’ve helped every student gain a chance to go from local leader to global changemaker.

I’m incredibly thankful for EVERYONE that came to a fundraiser, donated a passport, partnered with our mission, and became a part of the Too Fly Family. This experience of taking flight with you all has truly been a journey of a lifetime.

For nine years, I thank you for being a part of this flight and for being Too Fly with us.

Too Fly Out,
Brian Millage
